Saturday Morning Update is a weekly series where I talk about my adventures in geek life from the previous week. Read on to find out a little bit more about what I did this week, including what I’ve been watching, reading, and playing.
This was a lazy stay inside kinda week. You'll see why in a moment. Also, I've been writing a book. Since 2013. I got about 2/3 of the way through during NaNoWriMo and have since picked it up every year to reedit what's been written and then maybe add one new chapter and give up again. But I'm feeling a bit more motivated right now, so we'll see what happens!
CURRENTLY WATCHING
Still working through Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. The rest of Power Rangers Ninja Steel is on Netflix now so I finished the rest of that. I've been waiting for this since the nick.com video player is terrible. Ninja Steel has gotten a lot of flack with many calling it the worst series ever. While it's not the best I don't think it's the worst either.
CURRENTLY READING
I am still reading have started reading Reflection: A Twisted Tale from Disney Books. It's a "what if" story that sees Mulan adventuring into the Underworld.
CURRENTLY PLAYING
Katrina and I got a Nintendo Switch! We got The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but I think we had one Mario Kart race before my week became Zelda city. I can't tell you guys how much I love this game. I've only been able to play it in spurts at Victory Pointe, which has been harder to get to during the winter. But now I can play it whenever I want. Every time I play, something happens that has never happened before. I'm always exploring, always discovering. I'm sure one day we'll get back to Mario Kart, but for now I have a kingdom to save.
