This week I finished reading the Death Note manga. I started this ages ago, after getting the whole thing for $8 at a flea market, but kept taking mini breaks due to reading other stuff. I've seen the anime a bunch of and have watch every live action adaptation, but this was my first step into the original black & white version. I gotta say a lot of it was waaaaay better than any other version I've seen, but there were still some moments that the film school graduate in me thought were better in the adaptations. It does have a lot more detail so confusing stuff from the anime is explained way better, but that unfortunately means a loooot of pages where one character is just talking which results in almost nothing but text boxes. But it's still one of my favorite anime/manga series of all time. As of now all I need to see is the 2016 movie for completion sake.
