June Goals

Month 5 of 2018 is over and it’s time to look forward to June. This is my birthday month and it’s the start of summer where it gets too damn hot and there are tons of cool events! So let’s get hype and check out my goals for June 2018

  1. Read what I want. Sorta? I did read one book to review - Geekerella, check it out here - but that was an older book that I wanted to read anyway. I also read a lot of comics and manga that had been piling up on the TBR for a while. I did read a book that was not for review and I ultimately hated, but I loved Geekerella so damn much that I’d still call this a good reading month.
  2. Publish a damn good blog post. I’ve been sitting on this podcast post for a while and was happy to finally post it… but no one read it. Luckily about a week before I posted my review of the new collector’s edition of Fullmetal Alchemist and that blew up. It’s my biggest review ever and my #4 all-time post!
  3. Go out every weekend. I did it! We went to Free Comic Book Day, 3 Rivers Comicon, saw Deadpool 2 and Solo, and went for some nice walks around the neighborhood too. And the weather has stayed mostly nice the whole time. I am totally ready for the summer of events.
    Now, onto goals for April.
  1. TREAT YO SELF! It’s my birthday month so I am going to make sure to splurge and get myself some things that I actually want. I have been unloading some junk on eBay and have plenty of PayPal money to play with so all I have to do is find whatever will give me the least amount of instant buyer’s remorse.
  2. Get an iPad. Okay, I know what you’re thinking but this does not fall under treating myself. I actually need an iPad. My comics reviews are becoming a big part of my blog and I really hate reading review PDFs on my laptop and can’t really do it on my phone either. So a tablet of sorts would be perfect. I could read comics on the train and in bed making reading them more efficient and faster.
  3. Take more self-portraits. Or at least have someone I’m with do it. For a lifestyle blog, I never have enough pictures of myself in posts. Part of that is probably because I have to dress business casual for a boring day job which also takes time away from me going to cool places. So I want to try getting out there more and getting my face on the blog.
I hope everyone has a good month! Let me know what your goals are for this month in the comments down below.
